The Role of Athletic Compliance
Welcome to all Pace University
student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, coaches,
administrators, representatives of athletics interests (boosters)
and community members!
Your interest and support in Pace athletics is
greatly appreciated! The purpose of this website is to assist
your understanding of various NCAA, and NE-10 rules that may affect
you. All NCAA legislation cannot be covered in a limited
space such as this, therefore any additional questions should be
forwarded to the Compliance Office in the Department of
Athletics. You are encouraged to always ask before
you act!
Pace University is committed to the principles of institutional
control in operating its athletics programs through the development
and implementation of appropriate institutional policies and
procedures, an effective education program, and a functioning
monitoring program. Each individual involved in
intercollegiate athletics is obligated to maintain competency with
respect to knowledge of the rules; to act within his or her realm
of responsibility in full compliance with the governing
legislation; and to report any violation of NCAA, conference and/or
institutional rules of which he or she is aware.
The Compliance Office is responsible for coordinating,
monitoring and verifying compliance with all NCAA, NE-10 and Pace
University rules and regulations and to educate the various
constituencies of the University (e.g. coaches, administrators,
faculty, student-athletes, prospects, alumni) and the University
community regarding these rules and regulations. It is
important that all persons involved in Pace athletics understand
and comply with our commitment to these rules and regulations as
they essential to maintaining the integrity of Pace University.
Thanks again for your interest and support of
Pace Athletics. GO SETTERS!
Sincerely,
Kate Whalen
