ROBINSON LEADS THE WAY FOR PACE ON THE NORTHEAST-10 FOOTBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS
SOUTH EASTON, MA- The Pace University football team had six of its players named to the 2008 Northeast-10 Football All-Conference Teams. The lone first teamer was senior Lee Robinson (New Milford, CT/New Milford) who was named to the First-Team all defense. He finished the season with a team leading 77 tackles which was 9th in the conference, three sacks, and four forced fumbles put him tied for 1st in the conference in that category.

FOOTBALL BATTLES RAINY WEATHER, FALLS TO SAINT ANSELM IN SEASON FINALE
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Junior tailback Nathaniel Ford (Queen, NY/Jamaica) rushed for a career-high 191 yards on the ground with one touchdown, garnering Homecoming MVP honors as the Setters fell the Hawks of Saint Anselm College 28-14. Both teams battled rainy and wet conditions for the most of the game as the rushing attack dominated the game with the Hawks gaining a school record 448 yards, while the Setters totaled 203. The Setters end their 2008 season with a final overall record of 4-6 and finished 3-4 in the Northeast-10. The Hawks improve to 2-8 in their finale and finished 1-6 in conference play.

BENTLEY RALLIES IN FINAL QUARTER TO KNOCK OFF PACE 24-20
WALTHAM, MA- Bentley University scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns as the Falcons, who were down most of the game, rallied to defeat the Pace University Setters 24-20 in Northeast-10 Conference football action this afternoon. The Setters drop to 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the NE-10, while the Falcons improve to 5-5 and 4-3 in conference play.

MOURTADA BOOTS LONGEST FIELD GOAL IN SCHOOL HISTORY IN LOSS TO SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace football team lost to the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University 40-17 in Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon. The Setters drop to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the NE-10, while the Owls improve to 6-2 and 3-3 in conference play.

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Pace football team lost to the Yellow Jackets of American International College 42-20 in Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon. The Setters drop to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the NE-10, while the Yellow Jackets remain unbeaten at 7-0 and 5-0 in conference play.

FORDS LATE TOUCHDOWN LIFTS SETTERS PAST ASSUMPTION 21-14
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Nathaniel Ford (Queens, NY/Jamaica) capped off an eight-play, 57 yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run to lift the Setters past the Greyhounds of Assumption College in a Northeast-10 Conference game. The Setters remain in a two-way tie for second place with Southern Connecticut, improving their record to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the NE-10, while the Greyhounds drop to 1-5 and 1-3 in conference play.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY- The Pace football team dropping a stunning 30-26 loss to the Division I FCS Gaels of Iona College in non-conference action at Mazzella Field. The Setters are handed their first loss of the season, falling to 3-1 overall, while the Gaels improve to 2-2 on the season

SETTERS BLOCK LATE SAINT ANSELM FIELD GOAL; OFF TO BEST START SINCE 1982
MANCHESTER, NH- The Pace football team blocked a Saint Anselm field goal attempt with under one minute to play as the Setters escaped with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the Hawks 15-14. The Setters 3-0 start is the team best start since 1982 when Pace opened at 3-0. The Setters are now 3-0 and 2-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Hawks drop to 0-3 and 0-1 in conference play.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Quarterback Ray Gregg (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) hit a leaping Pat Olcholvy (Islip, NY/Islip) for a 21-yard touchdown connection with 1.7 seconds left in the game to lift the Setters to a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the Skyhawks of Stonehill College 28-24. The Setters remain unbeaten at 2-0 on the season and start 1-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Skyhawks drop to 1-1 and open 0-1 in conference play. SETTER DEFENSE RECORDS FIVE INTERCEPTIONS IN SEASON OPENING WIN
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Setter defense opened the 2008 season in rousing fashion, posting five interceptions on the day with sophomore linebacker Max Katzners (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) third quarter interception for a touchdown, proving to the be difference in the game as Pace defeated Assumption College 27-20. The Setters open up at 1-0 on the season, while the Greyhounds drop to 0-2 in 2008.

SETTERS PICKED SEVENTH IN NE-10 FOOTBALL PRESEASON COACHES POLL
FOXBORO, MA The Pace University football team has been picked to finish 7th in the Northeast-10 Conference, receiving 22 points, as voted on by the conference's 10 football coaches. Southern Connecticut State University was picked to win the NE-10, receiving seven first place votes, earning a total of 63 points. The preseason poll was announced yesterday, August 5th, at the annual Northeast-10 Football Media Day Event at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts

The Northeast-10 Conference has partnered with PackNetwork to produce and air the 2008 Northeast-10 Football Media Day Event Live via the Internet free of charge to all fans! The event will be held live from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution on Tuesday, August 5 at 12 pm. This marks the fifth straight year that the Northeast-10 has held this event at Gillette Stadium.
