PACE UNIVERSITY SWIM TEAMS FALL TO VASSAR COLLEGE

 
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams lost to Vassar College by the scores of 121-68 for the men, and 110-84 for the women respectively. With the losses the women's team drops their overall record to 4-2, and the men fall to 1-5.


The men's team was led by senior Craig McClintock (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) who tallied a first place finish in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 11:00.14. Fellow classmate Trevor Paugh (Wantage, NY/High Point Regional) collected the only other first place finish on the day for the men's team. Paugh won the 100 Freestyle with a blazing time of 53.02.


In women's action the lady Setters were led by sophomore Callie Grace (Dalton, MA/Miss Hall's) who finished the day with two first place finishes. Grace won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 26.22, and she also won the 100 Freestyle coming in with a time of 56.99. The women also got a good day from junior Erin Johanson (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield) who posted a first place finish in the 500 Freestyle event with a time of 5:39.35.


The Pace University swimming teams get back in the pool on Saturday January 24th as they will go on the road to face-off against Ramapo College. The meet will start at 2:00 p.m.
