MENS SWIMMING FINISHES OUT SEASON PLACING FIFTH AT
VASSAR SPRINT INVITATONAL

 

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Pace University men's swimming and diving team completed their 2008-09 season with a fifth place finish at the Vassar Sprint Invitational at Vassar College on Saturday afternoon.

The men's team finished with 26 points on the afternoon which put them just above SUNY Cobleskill for fifth place. Vassar College wound up winning the event with a total of 239 points.

Pace was led by senior Craig McClintock (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) who placed in the top five in two events. McClintock finished third in the 100Y Backstroke with a time of 1:00.94, and he finished fifth in the 50Y Backstroke with a time of 28.50. The Setters also got a solid performance from freshman William King (Oakdale, NY/Connetquot) who placed in the top six in two events for Pace. King finished fifth in the 200Y Freestyle with a time of 2:02.21, and he came in sixth in the 100Y Freestyle clocking in at 55.36.
