Head Coach Bill Natlo enters his first year and Head Coach for
the Pace Swimming and Diving program. He comes to Pace after a long
history of involvement in the sport of swimming. Growing up,
Natlo swam for a local USA club team, was an All-Section swimmer
for Pleasantville High School and competed collegiately at SUNY
Cortland, where he was a SUNY Championship
qualifier.
Coach Natlo's early coaching experience included the local
Pleasantville Swim Team in the 1990's, where he helped coach all
levels of athletes in the summer swim club setting. From 2004
- 2007, Natlo was a lead coach at Middies Swimming in White Plains,
NY. In 2007, he joined a newly created team with the former
Middies staff called "Empire Swimming," where he continues to coach
today, concurrent to his Head Coaching role at Pace. While
with Middies and now at Empire, both clubs have been named the #1
clubs in Metropolitan Swimming and in the top 30 in the nation by
USA Swimming's Virtual Club Championships. In his current
role at Empire, Natlo works with athletes of all ages in helping
them get to the next level in their swimming career. During
the last four years, Natlo has developed athletes who became
County/Conference Champions, Junior Olympic Qualifiers &
Champions, YWCA National Champions, Team and Metropolitan Swimming
Record Holders, Sr. Met, Sectional and Junior National
qualifiers.
In the summer of 2005, Natlo took over as Head Coach at Rocky Ledge
Swimming Association in White Plains, NY, a small summer club in
the Westchester County Swim Conference. Since taking over as
Head Coach, Natlo has taken a small team of approximately 40
swimmers and built the program to a largely competitive one of over
80 swimmers. Under his leadership, Rocky Ledge captured the
Conference's Division IV title in 2006 and the Division III title
in 2007. Coming into the summer of 2008, Nalto's three year
record at Rocky Ledge was 14 wins and only 1 loss.
In August, 2007, Natlo was named Head Coach at The Ursuline School,
a private all-girls school located in New Rochelle, NY. In
his first season at Ursuline, Natlo led the team to a Division I
championship with a dual meet record of 8-0 and in the process, a
Section I championship, as well, establishing Ursuline as the most
powerful team in the Section. Under Natlo's leadership, five
athletes qualified for and represented Ursuline at the State
Championships and six athletes were named All-Section honorees.
Natlo is a Certified Pool Operator, a Certified Aquatic Manager and
has achieved Level III recognition from the American Swim Coaches
Association.
Natlo lives in Elmsford, NY with his wife Tara and their two
children, Hannah and Colin.
