TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS COMPETE AT NE-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS SMITHFIELD, RI - The Pace University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to Bryant University to compete in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. The Women finished the meet with six total points, finishing in eighth place in the conference. Senior Risa Boroda (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford) finished fifth in the 10,000m run with a time of 53:12.03, breaking her previous school record. Sophomore Sarah Rodriguez (Ossining, NY/Our Lady of Victory) ran a 13:55.54 in the 3000m Steeplechase, good for fifth place and classmate Safia McNeishie (Sharon Hill, PA/Ridley) beat out a large and talented field of long jumpers for sixth place with a jump of 4.71m. The Men's team finished in eighth place, beating out American International College with 7 points. Freshmen Dan Carpenter (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) was the lone point scorer for the Setters finishing fourth in the Javelin Throw and fifth in the Shot Put with throws of 51.66m and 13.07m. ![]()
