VOLLEYBALL RALLIES BACK FOR WIN OVER SAINT MICHAELS
COLCHESTER, VT The Pace University womens volleyball team won three straight games after falling in the first game to rally past the Purple Knights of Saint Michaels College in the Setters Northeast-10 Conference opener. The Setters fell in the first game 23-30, but took home the victory by winning the next three 30-20, 30-25, and 30-25 to post their first victory of the young season and improve to 1-1 and 1-0 in conference play. The Purple Knights drop to 2-3 and remain winless in the NE-10 at 0-2.

VOLLEYBALL PICKED TO FINISH 7TH IN THE NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE
SOUTH EASTON, MA The Pace University womens volleyball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Northeast-10 Conference in 2007 receiving 133 points, as determined by the conferences 15 head coaches. The Setters finished 2006 with an 8-6 record in conference play, good for 7th in the NE-10, clinching their second straight appearance in the conference tournament.

DANIELLE FURKA NAMED TO NE-10 SECOND TEAM
SOUTH EASTON, MA Sophomore Danielle Furka (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) has been named to the 2006 Northeast-10 Volleyball All-Conference Second Team, as voted on by the coaches. On the season, Furka led the Setters in games played (96) and kills (310), second in service aces (42) and digs (411) and was third in assists (78). In the Northeast-10, Furka ranked sixth in kills (3.27 per game) and tenth in digs (4.31 per game).

PLEASANTVILLE, NY The Pace University womens volleyball team lost to the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights, 3-2 (22-30, 30-22, 30-23, 20-30, 12-15) in a Non-Conference match up held in the Goldstein Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University. The Setters finish the season 10-18, while the Purple Knights improve to 18-18.

SMITHFIELD, RI The Pace University womens volleyball team lost to the Bryant University Bulldogs, 3-0 (20-30, 20-30, 26-30) in their final Northeast-10 Conference match up. The Setters fall to 10-17 overall and finish 8-6 in the Northeast 10, while the Bulldogs improve to 18-17 overall and 11-2 in conference play.

WOMENS VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS STONEHILL, 3-0
EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Angela Guarino (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) registered 12 kills to lead Pace to a 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball victory over Stonehill Friday evening by game scores of 30-23, 30-11 and 30-22 in a league match played at Merkert Gymnasium. With the win, the Setters improve to 10-16 overall and 8-5 in the NE-10, while the Skyhawks drop to 4-21 overall and 2-10 in conference play.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY The Pace University womens volleyball team defeated Saint Anselm College, 3-0, (30-26, 30-18, 30-21) in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up at the Goldstein Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University. The win moves the Setters to 9-16 overall and 7-5 on conference play, while the Hawks drop to 2-17 overall and 1-10 in the NE-10.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY The Pace University womens volleyball team lost to the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, 3-2 (30-25, 30-25, 32-34, 24-30, 8-15) in a Northeast 10 Conference match up held in the Goldstein Center on the campus of Pace University. The Setters drop to 8-16 overall and 6-5 in the Northeast 10, while the Penmen go to 11-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play. Seniors Kasey Barrett (Eden, NY/Eden) and Angela Guarino (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) were honored before the game as part of Senior Night.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace University womens volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to top the Ravens of Franklin Pierce, 3-2, in a thrilling Northeast-10 Conference match-up at the Goldstein Health, Fitness and Recreation Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University. Franklin Pierce the first two games, 30-21 and 30-26, but the Setters rallied to take the final three, 30-27, 32-30 and 15-9.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOSES TO ADELPHI, 3-1
GARDEN CITY, NY- The Pace University women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match-up to Adelphi University, 3-1. Adelphi took the first two games of the match, 30-20 and 30-27 before Pace bounced back to win the third game, 30-28. Adelphi would win the fourth and clinching game, 30-22. Pace drops to 2-9 overall while Adelphi goes to 8-1 on the year.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY The Pace University lost their 2006 home opener, 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-22) to UMass Lowell, in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up at the Goldstein Health, Fitness and Recreation Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University. With the loss, Pace falls to 1-8 overall and will start their NE-10 schedule at 0-1. UMass Lowell improves to 5-4 overall and stand at 1-0 in conference play.

VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO HOST DOWLING
OAKDALE, NY- The Pace University womens volleyball team lost to Dowling College, 3-1, in a non-conference at the 2006 Dowling College Tournament. Pace lost the first game, 30-26, before bouncing back to win the second game, 30-27. Dowling would win the final two games, 30-24 and 30-21, to close out the match. Pace drops to 1-2 on the year.

WOMENS VOLLEYBALL SPLITS AT DOWLING TOURNAMENT
OAKDALE, NY- The Pace University womens volleyball team opened the 2006 season at the Dowling Tournament hosted by Dowling College, coming away with a split in todays two games. The Setters lost to Kutztown University, 3-0 (30-19, 30-16 and 30-10) before bouncing back in the nightcap with a 3-0 victory over Nyack College, 3-0 (30-18, 30-22 and 30-22) to start the year at 1-1.

SETTERS SET TO SWING INTO ACTION
The 2005 season marked a swing in the right direction for 2nd year head coach Dan Altros Pace University womens volleyball team. The Setters closed out the year at 13-13 overall and 8-6 in the Northeast-10 Conference, clinching the 8th and final spot in the NE-10 Tournament, which took place in Paces Goldstein Health, Fitness & Recreation Center.
