SHIELDS NAMED NE-10 FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
South Easton, MA- Freshman forward Brittany
Shields (Cold Springs, N.Y./Haldane) averaged 18 points
and 6.5 rebounds, while shooting 13-for-18 (72.2%) from the field
in a 1-1 week. Shot 6-for-8 for 13 points, seven rebounds and two
steals in a win over Southern Connecticut. Tallied 23 points and
six rebounds, while shooting 7-for-10 from the field and connecting
on 9-of-10 from the free throw line against Saint Rose.
Shields leads the team in scoring by averaging 14.2 points per game. Shields also leads the team in rebounding with 8.9 rebounds per game. Shields shoots 54 percent from the field on the season which ranks her 2nd in the NE-10 in that category. Pace is 12-7 on the season, and 9-6 in the NE-10. Pace's next game is on Wednesday, February 4 as Pace will travel to Syracuse to take on Le Moyne College.
