PACE-C.W. POST BATTLE TO SCORELESS TIE

BRIARCLIFF, NY- The Pace women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie against nationally ranked and the Northeast region top-ranked C.W. Post in non-conference action this afternoon. The Setters post their first tie of the season, moving their record to 2-11-1, while the Pioneers are now 13-1-1 overall.

Both teams had ample opportunities but it was the Setters that withstood and survived a barrage of shots to close out the second half as well as at the end of both overtimes. The Setter defense thwarted the Pioneers' attempts to score as Pace goalkeeper Breanna Gault (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) was up to the challenge, recording 13 saves on the day. Allie Weiser for C.W. Post also held the Setters off the board, posting seven saves on the afternoon.

C.W. Post held the edge on shots, 30-11 as well as in corner kicks 7-5.

The Setters return to action on Wednesday, October 22 when they travel to Lakewood, NJ to take on the Lions of Georgian Court University for a 3:30 pm start time.
