2013 Pace Volleyball Promotions Schedule Released

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University Volleyball team has announced their 2013 schedule as they look to build off of last year's semifinal appearance in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Pace Athletics Marketing & Promotions Department is also pleased to unveil the 2013 home promotional schedule for the upcoming season.

The year will begin with the annual Pace Setters Fall Classic Volleyball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, September 13-14. The Pace Setters Team Shop will be selling official tournament t-shirts for $25 online at www.pacesettersteamshop.com. On Tuesday, September 24, Pace will take on the New York Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m. featuring Staff/Faculty Appreciation Night. Staff and Faculty in attendance will be recognized during the match and will have the opportunity to interact with student-athletes in attendance. The next home match will take place on Friday, October 4, when the Setters take on American International College at 7:00 p.m. This match will be themed Techno Night featuring techno music and glow-in-the-dark promotional giveaways.

On Saturday, October 5, Pace takes on Le Moyne College in the annual "Pace Goes Pink" match sponsored by the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) in partnership with the student group Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) at 1:00 p.m. Fans will be charged $1 for admission and $5 "Pace Goes Pink" t-shirts will be on sale as well with all of the proceeds going towards the Northern Westchester Hospital Breast Institute. This match also marks the annual Pace Volleyball Alumni Day where all volleyball alumni in attendance will be recognized during the match followed by a post-match reception in the VIP room of the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Setters will host national power Nebraska Kearny in their next home contest on Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. This match will feature the annual 80's Night where the team will wear their throwback home jerseys and 80's music will be played throughout the match. The fan wearing the best 80's attire, as judged by the marketing staff, will win a prize from the Pace Volleyball team.

Pace returns home for Youth Day on Saturday, October 19, to take on the College of St. Rose at 1:00 p.m. Youth teams and organizations in attendance will be recognized prior to the match. All youth in attendance will receive a team photo and have the opportunity to meet the team and sign autographs after the match. On Friday, November 1, the Setters host Southern New Hampshire University at 7:00 p.m. on Super-Hero Night. Fans are encouraged to dress-up in their favorite super-hero costume and the best costume, as judged by the marketing staff, will win a prize. Free pizza and candy will also be available to all fans in attendance.

In a quick turnaround, Pace will host Franklin Pierce on Saturday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. on Girl Scout Day. The local Girl Scouts in attendance will be recognized prior to the match and in addition, Girl Scout cookies will be on sale throughout the match. In the regular-season home finale, the Setters will take on Merrimack College on Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m.
