WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES FIFTH AT
LEHMAN COLLEGE
LIGHTNING CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
RIVERDALE, NY - The Pace University women's cross country team finished fifth in the 17-team field at the Lehman College Lightning Cross Country Invitational held at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, NY over the weekend with 155 points. Suffolk Community College won the event with 59 points.
Senior Erica Young (Brooklyn, NY/West Plains) was the first Setter to cross the finish line with a time of 27:20, good for 12th place. Suffolk's Brittany Carter won the event with a time of 25:04. Classmate Jen Mayo (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) also placed a top-20 finish with a time of 28:31, good for 18th.
Freshman Sarah Rodriguez (Ossining, NY/Our Lady of
Victory) (29:37/32), sophomore Kate Morris
(Amesbury, MA/Amesbury) (30:02/37) and
freshman Natalie Hinz (Manhattan Beach, CA/Mira
Costa) (32:28/56) rounded out Pace's afternoon.
