WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES SECOND AT GOLDEN KNIGHTS JOUST
LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Pace University women's cross country team finished second in the 4-team field at the Third Annual Golden Knights Joust hosted by The College of Saint Rose at The Crossings of Colonie with 56 points. Host Saint Rose won the event with 16 points.
Senior Erica Young (Brooklyn, NY/West Plains) was the first Setter to cross the finish line with a time of 21:42, good for fifth place. Classmate Jen Mayo (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) also placed a top-10 finish with a time of 22:40, good for ninth. Meaghan Lucie of Saint Rose was the first runner to finish with a time of 20:03.
Freshman Sarah Rodriguez (Ossining, NY/Our Lady of Victory) (24:05) and sophomore Kate Morris (Amesbury, MA/Amesbury) (24:14) both posted top-15 finishes placing 12th and 13th respectively.
Natalie Hinz (Manhattan Beach, CA/Mira Costa) (25:44) and Risa Boroda (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford) (28:54) rounded out Pace's afternoon finishing 17th and 23rd respectively.
Pace returns to action on Sunday, October 21st, as
the Setters will travel to Easton, Mass. to take part in the
Northeast-10 Conference Championships hosted by Stonehill College.
